Formerly The Westin Colonnade, Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables in Florida recently completed a US$18 million renovation. Designed by Dawson Design Associates, the Tribute Portfolio hotel was repositioned as an “elevated, yet playful retreat.”
The hotel’s existing vaulted ceilings and grand staircase in the lobby are now centered under a new stained glass rosary style window and glass chandeliers. A new lobby bar hopes to welcome both guests and locals with a small plates and signature cocktails menu. A game room was also added and includes a pool table, shuffleboard, televisions and bar area.
Guestrooms were redesigned with wood floors, contemporary stainless steel pedestal beds, sectional sofas, and bronze and smoked glass desks.
