The Family Coppola Resorts recently opened Coral Caye, a private island off the coast of Placencia, Belize. The island aims to offer an “authentic tropical getaway,” and offers two cottages, accommodating two to 12 guests.
The Coral Caye experience is targeted for couples and families to be “castaways” on their own private island. The resort offers snorkeling, diving, fishing and other tropical activities. On-site dining includes continental Belizean breakfasts, lunches and seasonal seafood dinners.
The island also relies on solar power and caught rainwater, in addition to participating in coral and mangrove restoration programs.
