Sarovar in play? According to website DNA Money, Wyndham Hotel Group has reinitiated talks to acquire India’s Sarovar Hotels & Resorts. DNA reported earlier that France’s Louvre Hotels was also considering a purchase.

Ritz-Carlton Kapalua purchased: A joint venture among funds managed by the real estate group of Ares Management, SMW Hospitality (a joint venture of affiliates of Square Mile Capital Management and Wafra Investment Advisory Group) and Trinity Investments announced the acquisition of The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii. The resort was acquired from a partnership between Woodridge Capital Partners and Colony Capital. A purchase price was not disclosed.

 


Corporate affairs chief: Hilton named Katie Beirne Fallon senior vice president and global head of corporate affairs. She previously served as a senior adviser at the White House and a top aide in the U.S. Senate. Fallon will report to CEO Chris Nassetta.

 


IHG in Northern Territory: InterContinental Hotels Group and Ford Dynasty Pty Ltd signed a franchise agreement to refurbish and rebrand the current Lasseters Hotel Alice Springs. It will reopen as Crowne Plaza Alice Springs Lasseters in December.
