Melco Crown hotel plan: Melco Crown Entertainment Chairman Lawrence Ho plans a US$1 billion hotel project in Macau to launch a new brand, aiming to expand elsewhere in Asia. The Morpheus hotel, designed by architect Zaha Hadid, will debut in 2018.

Wanda in Beverly Hills: Dalian Wanda group won final approval on Tuesday to build a US$1.2 billion hotel and condo project in Beverly Hills, California. The project, totaling 134 rooms, is expected to be complete in 2020.

Banyan Cay management: Seattle, Washington-based Noble House Hotels & Resorts will take over management of Banyan Cay Resort & Golf in West Palm Beach, Florida. Plans include a 150-room hotel and a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course.

 


White Lodging reorganization: White Lodging Services reorganized its senior leadership team: Chief Financial Officer Ken Barrett has been promoted to CEO. Dave Sibley, currently CEO, will become the chief operating officer of the company’s full service portfolio effective immediately. He will replace COO Keith Daub, who will retire at the end of the year.
