Andrew Beer has been tapped as the executive chef at Boston Park Plaza. Most recently, he was executive chef at Taj Boston.

Matt Borger, currently the regional sales and marketing manager for Mantra Group in Australia’s NSW/ACT region, will take over the role of director of trade sales early next year. Borger most recently had eight years in a similar role at Accor and Mirvac Hotels.

Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino announced Teddy Bouroncle has been promoted from complex executive chef to director of food & beverage operations and Romeo Penacino from complex executive sous chef to complex executive chef. In addition, the resort has appointed Aruba-born Ever de Peña as complex executive sous chef.

Tim Bridgman has been appointed regional financial controller Vic/Tas for Mantra Group in Australia He joins from Delaware North, where he’s been the commercial manager within its Australian Parks and Resorts division.

Mantra Group has appointed Christopher Chew as general manager of BreakFree Eco Beach, Byron Bay. He is joining from BrookFarm in Byron Bay where he was assistant accountant.

Plaza Athénée Bangkok, a Royal Méridien Hotel, appointed Potjanee Darakamas as director of operational excellence and rooms. She was previously complex director of revenue management for the St Regis Hotel Singapore and W Singapore Sentosa Cove Hotel.

Rosemary Davila has joined the SiSpa at Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa in Florida as spa director. She was most recently at Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida.

Hayden Edgtton has been appointed as the general manager of Peppers Soul, Surfers Paradise, Australia. Edgtton joins the group with more than 20 years experience, including launching two new hotels in Dubai and New Zealand.

The Charmant Hotel, La Crosse, Wisconsin, named Stacy Erickson as its new director of sales at the Aparium Hotel Group property. She previously held various analyst and management roles with Gander Mountain Co. and Roundy’s Supermarkets.

Todd Heal, most recently executive assistant manager at Mantra on View Hotel in Surfers Paradise, Australia, has been appointed to general manager of Mantra Broadbeach on the Park.

At Melia Hotels International’s first property in New York, Innside New York, Alex Kalaja has been named the property’s new director of food & beverage. He most recently worked as the director of food & beverage for China Grill Management at Yotel New York, among others.

The Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa Downtown hotel in Alabama has appointed Mark Karbotly as general manager. Karbotly previously served as director of operations at Houston Marriott North.

Noble House Hotels& Resorts named Allison Kneubuhl as senior vice president of marketing & sales. She has held various sales and marketing roles with luxury brands such as Regent International Hotels, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. Most recently, she was the president and founder of her own company, Allimar Marketing, a luxury hotel marketing services firm.

Dorsett Hospitality International has promoted Rebecca Kwan to senior vice president of sales – Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. Kwan is also the GM for Lan Kwai Fong Hotel @ Kau U Fong, and in November 2015 took office as senior vice president of sales in Hong Kong.

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts has named Ben Logan the new general manager of the company’s Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel. Prior to joining JQH, Logan served as general manager of the 342-room/suite Hyatt Regency North Dallas in Richardson, Texas, on behalf of Interstate Hotels & Resorts.

Jeremy Mossman is the new general manager at Mantra St Kilda Road in Australia. He was previously hotel manager at Mantra on Russell.

Benchmark has named Jenny Na regional director of finance operations. Na was previously director of finance for Park Central Hotel San Francisco.

Marco Novella has been appointed managing director of Brown’s Hotel, London, a Rocco Forte Hotel. He will also oversee The Balmoral in Edinburgh and Hotel Amigo in Brussels. Novella joins Brown’s Hotel from his position as chief operating officer for Grace Hotels. Stuart Johnson, Novella’s predecessor, is to take up the position of general manager of the Rocco Forte Hotel in Shanghai which will open in 2018 as Rocco Forte’s first venture in the Far East.

Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach in Florida has named Thomas Russo III executive chef, Russel Jenkins senior sales manager and Jamaloan Abraham its new executive meeting manager. Most recently, Russo headed up the Westin Colonnade’s food and beverage team in Coral Gables, Florida. Jenkins was the senior sales manager for Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida, and has experience as conference and convention service manager positions at the Colonnade in Coral Gables, Florida, and B Ocean Fort Lauderdale.

Charles Snyder has been promoted to vice president of acquisitions and development for of New Castle Hotels & Resorts. Snyder joined the company in 2012 charged with evaluating potential acquisitions, development and co-investment opportunities.

Fairmont Pittsburgh announced Andrea (Bosco) Stehle has joined the team as the new digital marketing & communications manager. Stehle comes to the Fairmont from Whirl Publishing, where she was editor in chief.

New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge appointed David Umatum as executive chef. He most recently served as resort executive chef at The Sea Pines Resort in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Andrew Walling has taken the position of general manager at Mantra on Jolimont in Melbourne after two years as general manager at Mantra City Central, Melbourne.

The Kimpton Muse Hotel has appointed Jeffrey Williams to lead NIOS, the hotels’ on-property restaurant and lounge. He has worked at STK West Hollywood as executive sous chef, Crescent Hotel as chef consultant, Culver Hotel as executive chef, Westin Bonaventure as outlets chef, W San Diego as chef de cuisine and Chopps as corporate executive chef.
