What’s Hot: Rosewood San Miguel de Allende’s outdoor kitchen

Mexican boutique hotel Rosewood San Miguel de Allende expanded its culinary offerings with a new outdoor venue, Los Pirules.  The 492-square-foot space features two outdoor kitchens, a communal table and outdoor bar, and is used for cooking classes and events.

“San Miguel de Allende is rapidly becoming one of the world’s richest culinary destinations, and we are constantly looking for new ways to provide authentic ways to celebrate the region’s local flavors,” said Alfredo Renteria, managing director of Rosewood San Miguel de Allende.

Los Pirules offers a wood oven kitchen and an artisan Mexican kitchen. The design employs local and locally inspired materials, including Mexican tiles from Dolores Hidalgo. The venue also features a chef’s garden where guests can pick fresh produce, as well as a barbacoa and fire pit for pre or post-meal lounging. The communal table seats up to 20 guests.

The 76-room hotel, which opened in 2011, is located within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of San Miguel de Allende in Mexico’s Guanajuato region.
