The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort named Nick Anderson director of group sales and Aaron Weegar director of sales. The move comes as the property prepares to complete the final phase of a US$140 million renovation, its largest to date. 

Fairmont Chateau Whistler appointed two executive sous chefs: Derek Bendig and Jason Mitchell. Previously, Mitchell was chef de cuisine at Dubai’s Fairmont The Palm. Bendig was formerly executive chef at the seasonally operated Siwash Lake Ranch.

Alizé at the Top of Palms Casino Resort appointed Chris Bulen as executive chef. Prior to joining Alizé, Bulen was executive chef at Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge at Monte Carlo.

Stonebridge Companies named Ninfa Chavez director of talent acquisition. Chavez most recently held that same position with Key Talent Associates. Stonebridge Companies also named Michaela Johnson as its HRIS/Payroll Administrator.

Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North hired Philip Clough as resort manager. A six-year veteran of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Clough most recently worked at the brand’s newest Hawaiian resort, Oahu at Ko Olina. 

Morris Moinian’s Fortuna Realty Group appointed Grady Colin as vice president of operations for Fortuna’s current and upcoming hospitality portfolio. Fortuna has also tapped Lisa Grossberg as the Chelsea Area general manager for Hotels Hayden and Henri, two boutique conversions set to open in February and March, respectively.

Carneros Resort and Spa welcomes Edward Costa as managing director for the 28-acre Napa Valley luxury resort. Most recently, he worked as a general manager for the Hilton Boston Downtown, the London West Hollywood, and the London NYC.

Michel Cottray has been named general manager of the Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong, a 621-room hotel. Cottray most recently spent two years as general manager of the Le Meridien Etoile Paris, France’s largest hotel.

The Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst, Massachusetts promoted Kevin Doubleday to executive chef and Josean “Tiny” Jimenez to pastry chef. 

The Kimpton Cardinal Hotel, an upscale boutique property in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, appointed Julia Elizabeth “Liza” Edgerton as director of sales and marketing. Edgerton previously worked at the Charleston Marriott, most recently as director of corporate and group sales.

Benchmark named Antonio Estremera as executive chef for The Grove Resort & Spa, a 106-acre hotel in Orlando, Florida set to open in March. Estremera most recently served as executive chef at the Emilio & Gloria Estefan-owned Costa d’Este Beach Resort & Spa in Vero Beach, Florida.

Marcus Hotels & Resorts hired three new sales positions at Omaha Marriott Downtown, set to open in summer at the Capitol District. Megan Gilligan has been named director of sales and marketing and Kristy Phalen and Laurie Nielsen-Singer have been named sales account executives.

Jacek Glesmann joins Four Seasons Resort Lanai as director of catering and conference services. He previously held leadership positions at a number of esteemed properties including the 5 star resort at Pelican Hill in California.

Twenty Four Seven Hotels appointed Gary Gray as chief investment officer. With more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Gray most recently served as senior vice president – portfolio business development at TPG Hotels & Resorts.

Belmond appointed David Grossniklaus as senior director of Development Middle East, Africa and India. With more than 16 years of hospitality industry experience, Grossniklaus joins Belmond from Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he held the position of associate director acquisitions and development for the Middle East and Africa.

Mainsail Lodging & Development promoted Tom Haines to vice president of operations. For the past four years, Haines has served as general manager of the boutique 137-room Epicurean Hotel in the Hyde Park historic district of South Tampa, Florida.

Summit Hotel Properties’ board of directors appointed President and Chief Executive Officer Daniel Hansen to the additional post of chairman of the board. 

InterContinental Hotels Group appointed Lara Hernandez to chief commercial officer in the Asia, Middle East and Africa region. Hernandez was previously IHG’s Vice President of Sales & Distribution in the AMEA region.

Davidson Hotels & Resorts appointed Colleen Keating as executive vice president of operations. Keating joins Davidson from Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where she held numerous property, area and regional management roles.

Long-time Hostmark Hospitality Group management executive France Langan has been appointed general manager for Illinois’ Pheasant Run Resort. Langan joins the staff of over 300 following a 12-year position managing the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza.

Private real estate investment firm Rockwood Capital, has appointed Tony Lariño as a partner in the firm’s New York office. Prior to joining Rockwood, Mr. Lariño was a managing director with Westmont Hospitality.

Mantra Group named Andrew McTaggart as development manager. McTaggart previously held senior executive positions with Accor and Accor Premier Vacation Club.

Choice Hotels International appointed Brian Quinn as vice president of franchise development. Most recently, Quinn served as chief franchise officer at Red Lion Hotels Corporation.

Atlanta-based Hotel Equities promoted its President Brad Rahinsky to the position of President & Chief Executive Officer. 

Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino has just appointed 30 years-plus hospitality industry veteran Hans-Georg Roehrbein as general manager. Originally from Germany, Roehrbein started his career as a Sous-Chef at the Miami Airport Marriott hotel in Florida. 

The Time Nyack named Anjali Sharma to director of Revenue Management. Sharma started with the Dream Hotel Group in 2012 as a Reservations Agent and was promoted to Reservations Supervisor and then Reservations Manager at the end of 2013.

Nicholas Solomon joined One&Only Cape Town as resort manager. Previously, he served as general manager of North Island in the Seychelles.

Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center, located in the Ozark Mountains in Southwest Missouri, has named Paul Trout as its executive chef. Prior to working at the resort, Trout served as sous chef and banquet chef for Tapas Downtown in Redding, California.

Cygnus27, a Grand Rapids, Michigan restaurant located on the 27th floor of the historic Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, appointed Stephan VanHeulen as chef de cuisine.
