Located in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood, the 71-room boutique hotel has design elements drawn directly from the landscape of urban Miami.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a complimentary mojito as they enter the open layout lobby adjacent to a café and communal workspace. Centerpiece items include a large wooden bar and coffee tables constructed from railroad ties. In the reception area, a welcome desk is made up of vintage luggage – a piece made from hand by the hotel’s general manager. On the wall leading up to the guestrooms, a mural by a local street artist leads guests to their quarters through a succession of eyelids in a greyscale palette.

With five room categories that range from 180 to 360 square-feet, each guestroom features white window drapes, a cool color palette and a throwback to the mid-century modern era. Bright and airy bathrooms have white tiled showers with glass doors, an illuminated mirror, hair dryer and Bigelow & Co. bath products.

Additionally the hotel offers club and terrace suites. Club rooms boast a private furnished balcony overlooking the hotel’s rooftop pool. The two terrace suites split the top floor to balance the highest level of the hotel with oversized private terraces with expansive, panoramic views. Each terrace comes with deck furniture and a hot tub. Pet friendly rooms are also available for pets 20 pounds or less. Pet friendly rooms include a pet bed, a variety of toys, water and food bowls and bathroom pads.

A lounge, the Chill Out Roomis encased in floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and features a 120” projection screen for movies or video games (including a resident retro Atari gaming system) and a mix of mid-century modern furniture offers a vintage beach house vibe. The hotel also provides complimentary bicycles.

The Meridian also has an Italian-inspired café, The Food Marchand, which carries local coffee and baked goods.
