Anam, a locally owned and operated 117-villa and 96-room resort on the northern Cam Ranh Peninsula in Vietnam, is set to open later this month.
The 5-star resort, owned and operated by Pham Van Hien, includes a spa, three restaurants and two bars. Additional amenities include a 3-D movie theater, a ballroom, conference facilities, water sports center, yoga room and deck, tennis court, gym, kids club and three swimming pools.
Anam’s design pays homage to colonial-era and age-old Vietnamese aesthetics, evoking a nostalgic tone with its imperial Hue-style roofs, lanterns, water vases, decorative pools, customized mosaic floor tiles and stone pathways. Local artists designed the hotel’s floor tiles and Vietnamese artwork hangs from the walls.
Around 3,000 palm trees shade the property, which has 984 feet of private beach overlooking the East Sea. All 27 villas have terraces or balconies in addition to separate living rooms and private swimming pools.
The Sri Mara Spa has 10 treatment rooms, including four rooms designed for couples, each equipped with two massage beds, a steam room, sauna and outdoor granite Jacuzzi.
Complimentary daily activities include beach volleyball, badminton, sepak takraw (a sport known as kick volleyball native to Southeast Asia) and sunrise yoga. Other offerings range from kayaking and bravo sailing to surfing, body boarding and snorkeling. Anam can also organize personal training, tennis and fishing excursions in a Vietnamese coracle boat.
