What’s Hot: Hilton Buena Vista Palace gets revamp

The Hilton Buena Vista Palace, a Walt Disney World hotel in Orlando, Florida, has gotten a facelift.

Design firm The Gettys Group was behind the redesign, from consulting through implementation. Design elements include neutrals such as white, light gray and other earth tones, as well as bright, Florida-inspired shades like cerulean blue.

Updates include all public areas, guest rooms and outdoor “Island” areas, located just over a bridge spanning the property’s lake that connects the hotel’s two spaces.  The Island oasis has a pool area and waterpark with cabana hideaways.

What previously was a small bar in the first-floor main lobby has been transformed into a large space overlooking the lake, with atrium ceilings and an outdoor veranda that opens up to the lobby’s bar. The lobby has also been expanded.

Renovations also include newly renovated breakfast buffet and lunch areas; Letterpress, a restaurant featuring an on-trend vintage-feel design complete with subway tiles, reclaimed wood and pops of green; and a market and café, Citrus 28.  Guests can also enjoy poolside refreshment at one of two lounges offering cocktails.
