Renovations on the 137-room hotel, once known locally as the “Rock and Roll Days Inn,” began in February. Designed by Chipman Design Architecture, the hotel’s new look is unveiled to guests via the “Art Arrival” corridor, which has custom made artworks from traditional murals to contemporary street art. Completely redesigned, the new lobby now has an open layout with modern colorful seating.

The new reception area now features unique shelving filled with a curated collection of Chicago artifacts and items. This interactive lobby experience will eventually connect to the ground-level restaurant underway in the former fitness center and breakfast room areas.

Each guest room includes complimentary WiFi, 50-inch HDTVs, and SoniCast, allowing guests to stream TV shows, movies, and music directly to their room. Nespresso coffee machines and signature luxury linens are included in the standard room offerings, while executive rooms additionally have microwaves and refrigerators.

Hotel guests also receive complimentary access to the neighboring L.A. Fitness center. Additional partnerships include an ongoing relationship with Wyndham Hotel Group and co-branding through Days Inn, which allows guests staying at Hotel Versey the opportunity to continue earning Wyndham Rewards.

Staff-wise, the hotel’s longtime GM and operations manager, Stefanie Hrejsa and Scott Ray, respectively, will continue on after working together for two decades. Additionally, a new restaurant and retail outlets will be added to the first floor of the hotel in late 2017.
