“A whole bunch of alarms”: Wynn Resorts’ Steve Wynn told a U.S. news program on Sunday that the actions of Stephen Paddock, who shot and killed 58 people attending a music festival in Las Vegas, would have raised red flags at his properties – particularly his use of a “do not disturb” sign on his Mandalay Bay hotel room in the days leading up to the tragedy.

SLS out of Seattle high-rise: Fifth & Columbia Investors LLC, owners of the F5 Tower in Seattle, is selling the hotel portion of the building and terminated the contract of the hotel, SLS, which was scheduled to be opening shortly, according to the Seattle Business Journal. The 189-room SLS is a brand of French designer Philippe Starck and entrepreneur Sam Nazarian.

Trump’s Scottish losses: According to The Guardian, Donald Trump’s loans to his golf resorts in Scotland have increased to more than £150 million (US$196 million) after losses last year accelerated, partly because of the oil price crash and currency costs.

W in Rome: Marriott International’s lifestyle W brand will open W Rome in the city’s Via Veneto neighborhood. It will be developed by Omnam Group through a real estate fund managed by Kryalos SGR and is scheduled to open in 2021.

Harvey housing: The U.S. disaster agency says Hurricane Harvey survivors who need more time to find housing will get an extension on their hotel stays. A program funding the stays has been extended by two weeks to October 24.
