Briefs: Bahia reorganizes | Napa fires scorch occupancy

Bahia rebrands portfolio: Spain-based Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts is reorganizing. Its 24 properties will be segmented into four categories: Luxury Bahia Principe (luxury), Grand Bahia Principe (5-star); Sunlight Bahia Principe (Spain-based properties); and Fantasia Bahia Principe (family-friendly), including a property in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and the Fantasia Bahia Principe Tenerife, which will debut in November 2018 in Spain.

 


25hours in Dubai: AccorHotels and Dubai World Trade Centre LLC (DWTC) will debut in the Middle East in 2020, with 25hours Dubai Hotel. The 434-room property in the One Central development will be the brand’s largest hotel.

London: supply: +3.3%; demand: +0.3%; occupancy: -2.8% to 83.7%; ADR: +1.0% to GBP153.96; RevPAR): -1.8% to GBP128.87. Berlin: supply: +1.8%; demand: -1.9%; occupancy: -3.6% to 77.9%; ADR: +1.3% to EUR94.60; RevPAR: -2.3% to EUR73.73. Dubai: supply: +5.6%; demand: +2.7%; occupancy: -2.7% to 87.0%; ADR: -1.1% to AED754.11; RevPAR: -3.8% to AED655.84. Jeddah: supply: +9.8%; demand: -9.3%; occupancy: -17.4% to 45.7%; ADR: -9.7% to SAR702.62; RevPAR: -25.4% to SAR321.06.

 


Napa suffers amid fires: Hotel revenue in California’s Napa County, ravaged by wildfires, dropped a reported 36% in October, compared with the same month a year earlier. ADR fell 19% and occupancy fell 22%, according to STR.
