AC Hotel Seattle Bellevue sells: The AC Hotel Seattle Bellevue/Downtown in Bellevue, Washington has sold to lshin Aju Hotel Bellevue for US$87 million. Owners WPPI Bellevue AC developed the hotel which opened August 2017. The seven-story property contains 234 rooms, two levels of underground parking, and 1,48-square-feet of meeting space.
Plateno Group in Indonesia: China-based hotel management Plateno Group is set to open up to 15 hotels across Indonesia in the next five years. The company will reportedly target first-tier and second-tier cities in Indonesia, as well as focus on the business and leisure segment. It currently operates two hotels in Bali and Jatinegara in East Jakarta using the brands 7 Days Premium Kuta and 7 Days Premium Jatinegara. Both were launched in 2015 and end of 2017, respectively. Upcoming plans include hotel projects in Java and Batam in Riau Islands, ranging from budget to four-star hotels, such as PAI Blora (Jakarta), 7 Days Premium (Batam), PAI Zenna (Surabaya, East Java) and Lavande Hotel Puncak in West Java.
Four Seasons in Belize: Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announced plans for the development of Caye Chapel, a private island in Belize with oceanfront estates, private residences and overwater bungalows. Scheduled to open in 2021, the project is in in partnership with Thor Urbana, Inmobilia Desarrollos and GFA Grupo Inmobiliario, three leading real estate development groups based in Mexico.
Padstow Park hotel sells: Sydney-based JDA Hotels has beat out a number of bids at auction on the Padstow Park Hotel in Padstow, Australia to take on the freehold of the property for A$26 million (US$20 million). The hotel was sold at auction by White & Partners via Ray White Hotels, which had purchased the venue in 2014 from Spirit Hotels – the hospitality arm of Coles – for A$13.7 million (US$10.5 million).
