Columbia Sussex Corp. has rolled out the “T.A.R.P. - Total Appetite Relief Plan” menu as a limited-time-only initiative to provide guests with home-style entrees at affordable prices.
“In light of the current economic climate Columbia Sussex felt that it was important to provide guests with delicious comfort foods served in generous portions for great prices,” says Roger Taylor, vice president of food and beverage for Columbia Sussex Corp.
Menu selections include classic, comfort foods such as: baked stuffed pork chops, homemade meatloaf, chicken pot pie, southern fried chicken and parmesan-crusted tilapia all accompanied by Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and vegetables for a set menu price. The price varies from US$10.99 to US$12.99 depending on the market in which participating hotels are located. The menu also suggests beverage pairings for each entrée, listing several wines and beer.
The T.A.R.P. menu is being promoted in hotels through the use of posters placed in high traffic areas and customized, themed menus promoting the Beat the Economy Blues menu. The new menu is available through June inside restaurants and lounges at 52 full-service hotels mainly concentrated in the southern and eastern U.S., including hotel brands Marriott, Holiday Inn, Sheraton, Crown Plaza and Renaissance.

These are incredibly tacky. I'm embarrassed to offer them to guests.
