Halekulani Introduces ‘Table One’

Halekulani earlier this month began offering a sort of chef’s table or restaurant-within-a-restaurant concept called Table One, for which Executive Chef Vikram Garg prepares a seasonal tasting menu of regionally-inspired global cuisine customized based on guest preferences.
“Beyond my passion for food, it is my guests that truly inspire me to cook,” Garg says. “At Table One, I will measure and marry their preferences, culinary desires and curiosities to create a memorable and transforming dining experience. In a way, menus themselves can sometimes restrict spontaneous culinary creativity. Table One will forever transcend any dining restriction.”
Located in the atrium of the hotel’s Orchids restaurant, the table, accommodating four to six guests, is surrounded by orchids and features panoramic views overlooking Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach.
Five- or seven-course dinner tasting menus are available Tuesday through Saturday for US$95 or US$125 per person, respectively, with additional selections of wine pairings. Lunch service is available upon request.
