Cres Cor Applies CE Mark to 37 Products

By Staff -- HOTELS Magazine, 7/1/2000

MENTOR, OHIO Paving the way for an aggressive marketing program underway in the UK, Europe, Asia, and other international markets, Cres Cor is now empowered to apply the CE mark to 37 selected units that meet the Engineering Norms of Communaute Europeene. The CE mark, developed by the European Community, serves as a “passport” for equipment.

Cres Cor undertook the certification process for these units because of their domestic popularity and applicability to the needs of international foodservice operations. The certified models include 25 different heat holding cabinets, three proofing cabinets, one proof/hot cabinet, six banquet cabinets, and two heated dish trolleys.

New Look, New Logo For MTS Seating

TEMPERANCE, MICHIGAN Hospitality seating manufacturer MTS Seating recently unveiled a new logo in line with the company’s additional emphasis on lodging and high style hospitality design. (MTS also unveiled a new line of wood-framed and fully upholstered guestroom furnishings in January.)

“The new logo is more stylized, elegant and sophisticated,” says Phil Swy, president, MTS Seating. “The idea was to develop a logo that helps define the new direction of the company without taking too dramatic a departure from the MTS our customers are comfortable with.” He says the company will continue to provide customers with consistent performance in quality and delivery. “Now we are raising our design standards to meet a more demanding aesthetic sense, as well,” adds Swy.
