Hot Opening: Radisson SAS Hotel Frankfurt
By Staff -- HOTELS Magazine, 2/1/2007
The new Radisson SAS Hotel Frankfurt features a modern circular design with a glass exterior. As the hotel’s designer, London architect John Seifert says, “There is no need for a business hotel to look boring.” This prominent piece of architecture intrudes upon your range of vision in a dramatic way.
Inside, Adam D. Tihany of New York developed the minimalist concept for the public areas and restaurants, and Italian designer Matteo Thun did the 428 guestrooms with a breeze of Las Vegas.
Other features include an oyster bar, a cigar & martini lounge, a free-hanging wine tower housing 1,500 bottles, a library and an 18th-floor spa with pool overlooking the Frankfurt skyline.
