Hard Days Night Gets A Bit Easier

-- Hotels, 2/1/2008

The world's first hotel dedicated to the 20th century's foremost band opens this month in Liverpool, England. The 4-star Hard Days Night Hotel, named for one of The Beatles' biggest hit songs, has 110 guestrooms—including special John Lennon and Paul McCartney penthouses—four F&B outlets and its own wedding chapel. Room rates start around £170.

Bowdena Ltd. is the developer of the £20 million city center project, which converted and rejuvenated a merchant building dating back to 1884. Hospitality Management International Inc. will operate the boutique hotel.

Although Hard Days Night is most certainly a themed hotel, the theming is authentic, at least. Acclaimed Beatles artist Shannon has been commissioned to create original artwork for each of the guestrooms, and McCartney and Ringo Starr also contributed some of their own works to the hotel's collection.
