Singapore—Forbes Industries, a manufacturer of hotel and restaurant service equipment, has formed a company in Singapore to market and sell Forbes products throughout Asia. Forbes Industries Asia Pte Ltd. is a joint venture between Forbes Industries through its parent company, Winsford Corp., and two Singapore nationals, Michael Koo and Ernest Tan. Tim Sweetland is chairman of Forbes Industries Asia.

Forbes Industries products are used in all areas of hotels, from the front of the house to public areas, housekeeping and room service, plus banqueting equipment such as mobile bars, speaker podiums and dance floors. The company manufactures its products in Ontario, California. Forbes was the first company to manufacture deluxe luggage carts made from solid brass and stainless steel, and its Birdcage Cart is among its signature items.
