Winterhalter Gives Dishwashing Positive Energy
-- Hotels, 2/1/2008
London—Winterhalter GmbH announces a reduction in energy consumption and operating costs for its rack pass-through and utensil dishwashing machines. The GS 500 Energy+ recovers energy that might otherwise be lost through exhaust air and waste water, returning it to the dishwasher using an advanced heat exchanger system. Winterhalter will demonstrate the product at its Energy Arena at Hotelympia in London Excel, February 17-21.
Winterhalter is playing on the theme of turning minuses into pluses. By extracting the water vapor during the washing cycle, the GS 500 Energy and Energy+ machines also improve the atmosphere in the wash area. At the Energy Arena, visitors can experience firsthand the advantages of cooler, drier exhaust air when dishwashing. Installing a single GS 502 can save the equivalent of a whole year’s supply of electricity for a four-person household, the company says.
