IHG Announces New-Build Crowne Plaza Near Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS—IHG plans a new-build 386-room Crowne Plaza hotel in Las Vegas, expected to open in 2010. The hotel will be located just west of major casinos on the Las Vegas Strip and a short drive from McCarran International Airport.
The Asian-themed Crowne Plaza will include a casino, three restaurants, three lounges, a full-service spa and outdoor swimming pool, as well as a fitness center, business center and retail.
The hotel will offer 16,000 sq. ft. (1,486 sq. m) of meeting and banquet space. Complimentary wired and wireless Internet will be available throughout the hotel. The hotel is owned and managed by Andrew Lai under a licensing agreement.
