SCHERTZ, TEXAS—Choice Hotels International has announced plans for a new Cambria Suites hotel just outside of San Antonio in Schertz, Texas. The 129-suite hotel, owned by developer Galo Properties, is the second Cambria Suites hotel planned for the San Antonio area. The hotel will be located along Interstate 35. “As we continue to grow the Cambria Suites brand, we’re looking for developers like Galo Properties that really understand the brand and what it’s all about,” says Brad LeBlanc, vice president of franchise sales for Cambria Suites.

The hotel will offer large-screen televisions in the open, two-story lobby, as well as two flat-screen LCD televisions, CD/DVD player and mp3 jacks in the guest suites, plus complimentary wired and wireless high-speed Internet access throughout the property. All Cambria Suites include Reflect, a casual dining area that features a full coffee bar and serves breakfast and dinner; Refresh, a state-of-the-art fitness center with an indoor pool and spa; and Refill, a 24-7 convenience store that stocks grab-and-go salads and sandwiches, healthy fare and typical convenience store foods. The hotel also will offer more than 1,000 sq. ft. (93 sq. m) of meeting space.
