Desso Hospitality Plans Growth

STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT—Desso Hospitality, manufacturer of fine custom carpet, announces new initiatives aimed at further increasing its share of the key U.S. hospitality market. Since being acquired last year by NPM Capital NV, Desso has aimed to increase service levels and expand capacity.
“Desso is extremely pleased with the U.S. hospitality division sales growth and has strategic plans in place to continue supporting this important business segment,” says Peter Lipkin, Desso’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Already under way is the consolidation of Desso’s weaving operations into our spinning and dyeing plant, placing all carpet manufacturing efficiently under one roof.”
Next at Desso is significant investment in additional Axminster carpet looms. “Desso’s manufacturing lead times already have shortened considerably. We are reducing overall project turnaround at a time when the domestic hospitality market sorely needs it,” Lipkin says.
