HATTERSHEIM, GERMANY—Uwe Woehner has taken over management of Trevira GmbH as CEO. Woehner, comes from Grammer AG, Amberg, where he was in charge of the automotive products sector.

“I am looking forward to my new task. I am confident Trevira will continue to maintain its momentum of growth through expansion in the world markets,” Woehner says. “We will work toward further exploiting the synergy emerging from the strength of our owner Reliance and the competence of Trevira to continue to be a leading innovative European specialty fiber producer.”

Says Subodh Sapra, chairman of the supervisory board: “Trevira will surely gain due to his experience in large and professionally managed companies and exposure to the challenging automotive industry.” Trevira is a European manufacturer of high-value branded polyester fibers and filament yarns. Production operations are located in Germany, Denmark, Belgium and Poland.
