Hotel Sax Offers High-Tech Entertainment Lounge

As part of a US$25 million renovation, Hotel Sax Chicago has partnered with Microsoft’s experiential branding team to offer The Studio—experience by Microsoft, a high-tech entertainment lounge featuring laptops, MP3 players, Xbox gaming consoles, five flat-screen HD television screens, surround sound, movies and more.Located on the hotel’s sixth fl oor and accessible only to hotel guests, the wood-paneled lounge is open between 4 p.m. and midnight daily, and is available for guest use free of charge. A technology butler is on hand to answer questions, help solve problems or even take food and beverage orders (the hotel’s Crimson lounge menu is available).
Designed to promote interaction with other guests, seating in the lounge includes suede couches and leather chairs, along with futuristic window seats and plenty of pillows. LED lighting infuses the room.
To showcase the lounge, the hotel plans to host regular movie nights as well as competitive gaming events.
“We’re excited to offer guests a new source of entertainment within the comfort of the hotel,” says General Manager Mario Mazzini. “We hope to grow our relationship with Microsoft and continue to surprise our guests with these types of unexpected luxury and technological amenities.”
