Good Ideas for a Good Night

by Staff -- Hotels, 7/1/2007

• Andel’s Hotel & Suites Prague uses turndown to create a correct cultural welcome for foreign guests on its executive floors. “We respect their cultures by providing separate beds, slippers in the rest room and special television channels,” says Roman Ray Straub, general manager of three Andel hotels in Prague

• Sister Vienna International Hotel, Loipersdorf Spa & Conference center customizes turndown to three special packages: Beauty, Energy and Pleasure. A nice plus: Pumpkinseed cake, a regional specialty.

• The Sofitel Los Angeles’s US$165 “So in Love” package includes turndown with a bed “dressed in satin sheets,” chiffon-scented candles, strawberries dipped in chocolate and cognac for two.
