NEW YORK CITY—A few months late but well worth it, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is now operating for Elad Properties of one of the world's most famous hotels, The Plaza in New York, following a two-year full renovation worth US$400 million. The new Plaza features lavish guestrooms, private residences, destination restaurants, an exclusive retail collection and state-of-the-art meetings and events spaces. The Plaza's 282 guestrooms and suites feature the largest total square footage of any luxury hotel in New York City. The Grand Ballroom retains its original neo-classical décor while its walls will represent The Plaza's original color palette of white and gold.
