Capella Comes To Japan Ski Resort

NISEKO, JAPAN— Annupuri Land LP and Capella Hotels and Resorts have announced plans for Capella Niseko, a luxury resort and residences set on 32 acres (13 ha) adjacent to Annupuri-Niseko Mountain, scheduled to open in 2010. Architect Tadao Ando will design the 80-key Capella Niseko.

Each room will feature a private natural hot spring bath. The resort will surround a village center, with facilities including a skating rink, spa, wellness center, pools, tennis courts, fine-dining restaurant, an après ski lounge and retail outlets. Capella Niseko will also feature approximately 150 residences, including villas, townhouses and condominiums with private fireplaces and decks. The residences will include access to all resort amenities and concierge services. The resort and residences are minutes from the ski mountain, with personalized luxury transport provided.
