BEIJING—Hotel G Beijing is the first of a boutique hotel brand launched by Hong Kong-based private equity real estate management firm Gateway Capital. The brand is expected to roll out in selected cities of China and Asia.

Gateway Capital is headed by real estate entrepreneur Goodwin Gaw, renowned for the recent US$24 million restoration of the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles to its former glory. His company also owns a portfolio of luxury hotels and resorts in North America and Asia.
With a striking entrance and façade that transforms into an explosion of colored lights by night (hotel guests can actually select their own window lighting), the 110-room hotel has a series of super deluxe, loft-style suites with a raised bed area and a large bathroom complete with free-standing tub.
Leading from the hotel lobby is the bar and restaurant 25 Degrees, named after the original at the famous Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard founded by Tim Goodell, renowned for its “Bordello Meets Burger Bar” design and some of the best burgers in Los Angeles.
The fifth-floor roof terrace will be a private “urban retreat” for hotel guests, featuring a garden, outdoor Jacuzzis, sun loungers and a gymnasium. A full-service business center also is located here.
