MIAMI (June 19, 2008) – Hilton Hotels & Resorts announces the launch of its Latin America advertising plan, part of the brand’s overall “Travel Should Take You Places” campaign. Created by Young & Rubicam Brands, the campaign captures the essence of a guest’s experience and personal journey, whether they travel for business and leisure to the brand’s exquisite properties throughout Latin America. The Latin America campaign also introduces the philosophy that travel is about more than just going from point A to point B – travel is about the journey.
“Hilton’s Travel Should Take You Places campaign helps to create an emotional connection between travelers and our brand,” said Jeff Diskin, senior vice president – brand management, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. “The ads are designed to reinforce the various travel opportunities – whether for business or pleasure – and the sense of accomplishment and personal achievement that travel inspires.”
The campaign, which kicked off last month, is set to build awareness of the Hilton brand and Latin America hotels among both Latin America and U.S. travelers. Featuring a combination of TV, print, and online advertisements, the campaign includes TV placements in Discovery Channel, Discover Travel & Living, and CNN en Español Destinos, print advertisements in several in-flight magazines, and banner ads in consumer focused travel websites.
This campaign also marks Hilton’s first brand advertising aimed at driving consumers to its Spanish language website, www.hilton.es.
Hilton Hotels in Latin America features properties in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.
For reservations, guests should visit www.hilton.com or call their local Hilton reservations center.
The “Travel Should Take Your Places” campaign has been recognized with the coveted Best in Show Adrian Award from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI), and also took home Platinum Adrian Awards in both 2006 and 2007, as well as Yahoo!’s “Big Idea” Award in 2007.
