Fairmont Teams With Lexus On Green Luxury

-- Hotels, 8/1/2008

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and the automobile brand Lexus have put together a pair of eco-friendly Lexus Hybrid Living Suites, open at The Fairmont San Francisco and The Fairmont Washington, D.C. The suites incorporate ideas and products from Lexus Hybrid Living partners, like eco-friendly fabrics by Q Collection, an organic mattress system by Suite Sleep, bedding by Coyuchi Organic, organic towels and robes by Nandina, environmentally friendly paint provided by Benjamin Moore Aura and pillows and comforters by Sleep & Beyond. The suites were designed by Kelly LaPlante Organic Interior Design in Los Angeles, featuring Custom coffee tables using pieces of leather recycled from Lexus vehicles.

Complimentary use of a low-emission Lexus LS 600h L is included in the room rate, which starts at US$869 a night. Both the San Francisco and Washington properties employ Green Guides to recommend local environmentally friendly activities in the destination.
