The Ugly: 68% of travelers have experienced a dirty carpet at a hotel, 64% have dealt with non-working appliances, and 59% have waited as their room was not ready at check-in.
And finally, on hotel decision-making:
32% of travelers (37% of U.S. respondents) said they are brand loyal when it comes to hotels.
When asked what price range they target when searching for hotels, 19% said under US$300, 27% chose less than US$200, 28% said less than US$150, and 16% chose less than US$100 per night. Just 2% said they search for hotels at more than US$500 per night.
