Top 'Clothing Optional' Resorts
Today's List of the Day may or may not appeal to you, depending how you feel about being naked.
See, there are casual Fridays, there's dressing down for summer, and then there's not dressing at all.
For those who appreciate escaping the confines of their clothing (seemingly a growing market), TripAdvisor has named the Top 10 Clothing Optional Resorts:
1. Hidden Beach Resort - Au Naturel Club, Riviera Maya, Mexico - Average Nightly Rate: US$541
2. Garden of Eden Resort, Isla Solarte, Panama - Average Nightly Rate: US$130
3. Living Waters Spa, Desert Hot Springs, California - Average Nightly Rate: US$260
4. Terra Cotta Inn, Palm Springs, California - Average Nightly Rate: US$149
5. Caliente Caribe Resort and Spa, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic - Average Nightly Rate: US$235
6. Sorobon Beach Resort, Bonaire - Average Nightly Rate: US$190
7. Cabanas Copal, Tulum, Mexico - Average Nightly Rate: US$95
8. Club Orient Resort: St. Maarten - Average Nightly Rate: US$396
9. Grand Lido Negril Resort & Spa, Negril, Jamaica - Average Nightly Rate: US$523
10. Punta Serena, Tenacatita, Mexico - Average Nightly Rate: US$240
What traits do these properties share, besides nude guests? Four are on Caribbean islands, three are in Mexico, and two are in California--all places you might expect to find clothing-optional resorts, places most Americans think about as relaxing vacation destinations.
One trait they don't share is rate, with prices running the gamut from just US$95 per night all the way up to US$541 per night. The good news is, even for guests who choose the most expensive of these escapes, they can pack lightly and not worry about what to wear on vacation!
