Mobile Marketing: Luxor's Twitter Tease
October 3, 2008
The Twitter feed from Luxor Las Vegas is cryptically intriguing today: "We're going to be THE very first anything anywhere to have this technology!"
It's in reference to a new mobile marketing technology/campaign/something being rolled out by Luxor, and possibly other MGM Mirage properties. For the moment, exactly what we're talking about remains a bit of a secret, but here's a few previous Luxor Tweets for some clues from the past couple days...
"Seeing the final live demo for Phase 2 of our mobile mktg program. Whoo hoo!"
"For those asking for example re: mobile app - no mktg, all utility based / helpful / relevant for your stay while @ Luxor / in Las Vegas"
"Question: If u were a Luxor guest would u download our mobile app 2 help during your stay?"
"At Mandalay Bay... Big meeting with all my counterparts from our sister properties. We're talking about mobile mktg"
So now I'm all intrigued. Nicely done, Luxor marketing. I'll share more when I know more.
Until then, read what Jeff has to say in this month's issue of HOTELS about the advent of mobile marketing in the hotel industry...
