A Boutique Within Monte Carlo Las Vegas

May 8, 2009

MGM Mirage’s Monte Carlo Las Vegas sent out a very ambiguous e-mail this morning referring to something called Hotel32. The e-mail includes no details or information on the project, save for a link to a slideshow of boutiquey-looking guestrooms.

The educated guess here is that Hotel32 is the latest incarnation of Monte Carlo’s VIP 32nd floor, which was badly damaged in a fire last year. The fact that the hotel is giving the floor its own special "branding," however, is interesting.

Will it be a kind of "boutique within a hotel" along the lines of THEhotel at MGM sister property Mandalay Bay?

Since they announced it I have not anything or seen any rooms open up. Here's the view from the top of Monte Carlo after the fire and I don't see anything different. destination360.com/north-america/us/nevada/las-vegas/monte-carlo I wonder if they put the brakes on it?
