Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Spa names Ronald Vega general manager. Vega previously served as resident manager of Occidental Allegro Cozumel.

Villa Premiere Hotel & Spa appoints Abel Villa as general manager. Villa joins the hotel after participating in the Hilton Elevator Program, a management development program at the Hilton Buenos Aires and Caribe Hilton, San Juan.

Boutique Hoi An Resort appoints Theo Schuurhuis to general manager. Schuurhuis most recently was club manager of the Old Chengdu Club in China.

IHG names Gerardo Murray regional vice president, Sales & Marketing, Mexico. Murray most recently was CEO and general director for Casa Grande Hotels Group.

Grand Pacific Resort Management promotes Guy Hall to the newly created position of area manager. Hall will be responsible for the daily operations at Carlsbad Seapointe Resort as well as have direct oversight of Coronado Beach Resort.

The Westin Jersey City Newport names Colleen Senters general manager. Senters most recently served as hotel manager for the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel. During that time she also led the recovery efforts for the hotel post-Hurricane Katrina.

Benchmark Hospitality International appoints Scott D. Sopher executive chef for Naples Bay Resort. Sopher most recently was executive chef and equity partner of Cin Cin Mediterranean Cuisine, Fort Myers.

The InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco appoints Nelum Gunewardane general manager. Gunewardane most recently was director of front office operations for the opening team of the InterContinental Boston.

GHM promotes Akira Moreno to director of pre-opening services. Moreno most recently was general manager of The Andaman, Langkawi.

Peter Schiess is appointed general manager of the Radisson Plaza Resort Phuket Panwa Beach. Schiess most recently was general manager of the Radisson Blu Resort Hotel, Tala Bay in Aqaba, Jordan.

Denis Groison is appointed chef de cuisine for Le Beaulier at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi. Groison most recently was chef de cuisine at the Raffles Grill.

Six Senses Resorts & Spas promotes Peter Nilsson to to the new role of managing director of Gulf of Thailand, including: Soneva Kiri by Six Senses, Six Senses Hua Hin, Evason Hua Hin and Six Senses Samui.

The Homestead, Hot Springs, Virginia, appoints Mark Gallaudet  executive chef. Gallaudet brings more than 25 years culinary experience to the position.

Key Management Group appoints Larry Regan chief financial officer. Regan most recently was division president for Home Décor Products Inc.

Carmel Valley Ranch appoints Anna Olson as general manager. Olson joins the resort after nine years as general manager at Ojai Valley Inn & Spa.

TheWit Hotel, Chicago names Mark Shouger general manager. Shouger brings 25 years experience to the position including working as director of operations at the Madison Hotel, Washington, D.C.

Tapestry Resorts names Kerry Stebbins director of business development. Stebbins' prior experience includes working as the manager, global accounts for HelmsBriscoe.

Vantage Hospitality Group appoints Bill Hanley managing director of its Lexington Collection Brand. Hanley most recently was managing director of the International Hotel Division and senior vice president of Cendant Corp.
