As Executive Director, Internet Marketing at Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, David heads a team that manages the Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel brands on Internet channels. David has almost 18 years of hospitality experience and has focused on various facets of electronic distribution throughout that time. He has also been active in several industry organizations including 4 years of service on HEDNA's Board of Directors and past involvement with the HSMAI Internet Marketing Committee.
Scott van Hartesvelt, president, gCommerce Solutions
Scott van Hartesvelt is president of gCommerce Solutions, a leading hotel and resort eMarketing firm. Since founding the company in 2001, Scott and his team have pioneered a number of cutting-edge e-marketing techniques, ranging from proactive search engine marketing to revenue and distribution management. Previously, van Hartesvelt held positions in hotel operations marketing for a number of hotel, resort and timeshare companies. He attended the University of Colorado in Boulder.
Kimberly Ercius, director of business development, Milestone Internet Marketing
Kimberly (Ehrlich) Ercius is responsible for all of Milestone's Sales and Marketing efforts in the Eastern Division. She opened up the New York office in 2007, and works closely with Brands, Management Companies and Ownership Groups to develop Search Engine Marketing strategies. Kimberly has held positions at the Walt Disney World Company, Crystal Cruises and TravelCLICK. She is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration, and remains actively involved with the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research.
Kelly Earnest, director of public relations for The Peabody Memphis
Kelly Earnest since 2005 has been director of public relations for The Peabody Memphis, where she acts as the hotel's primary media contact and is responsible for generating publicity for the hotel, its ducks, restaurants and events. She serves on the PR committees for Historic Hotels of America, the Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau and Metro Memphis Attractions Association, and is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers and the Public Relations Society of America. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
