Bio for Ivar Yuste

Ivar Yuste is a founding partner at hospitality consulting firm PHG in Spain. From its head office in Madrid, PHG offers advisory services to hotel groups, real estate companies, investment funds, banks and family offices in EMEA and Latam. In 2016, he became a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC), the world’s greatest source for hospitality expertise and counsel, represented by some 200 of the industry’s most respected professionals from across six continents.

Prior to joining PHG, Yuste held several business development roles in the travel and hospitality space in Europe, northern Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America. He has been managing director of corporate development and a member of the executive committee at BlueBay Hotels & Resorts, the hospitality division of the Marsans Group, one of the largest tourist conglomerates in Spain for the last decade. Out of BlueBay’s headquarters in Mallorca, Yuste was instrumental in the growth of the lifestyle brand BlueBay Hotels & Resorts in the Mediterranean and Latin America. He was also responsible for the creation of the stand-alone shared ownership business unit, BlueBay Vacation Club, in America and Europe.

Previously, Yuste was director of business development in EMEA with RCI (Resorts Condominium International), NorthCourse Leisure Real Estate Solutions and Hotel Dynamics, three companies under the Wyndham Worldwide umbrella. In his role with RCI, Yuste supervised the largest resort operations in Europe. With NorthCourse, he also performed consulting work for the evaluation of leisure real estate and hotel projects with various groups in Spain, Morocco and France. With Hotel Dynamics, Yuste was responsible for the F&B membership program strategy growth, already in operation at the time with Melia Hotels International and its Club Gourmet concept.

Yuste also has worked out of London, Palma and Madrid in business and operations development functions for leading travel and leisure companies such as SITA, Sabre, Spanair and Continental Airlines. He holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
