Showcasing its multi-year brand refresh program for its Sheraton Hotels & Resorts brand, Starwood has unveiled the new look of Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh.

The 269-room hotel reopened this week after being closed for the renovations. The hotel now offers fully refurbished guest rooms, more than 15,000 sq ft (1,393.5 sq m) of newly renovated meeting and event space and a new restaurant and bar.

The guestrooms were designed in a contemporary Scottish style with frosted glass-walled bathrooms.

The property also boasts the six-story, 35,000 sq ft (3,251 sq m) One Spa. The refurbished Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh also provides guests with an exciting new restaurant and bar concept, One Square. Headed up by Executive Chef, Malcolm Webster, One Square focuses on modern British dishes made from produce sourced within the United Kingdom.

The reopening of the Edinburgh hotel comes as Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Stamford, Connecticut, says it and its hotels owners are investing more than US$350 million to enhance its flagship Sheraton properties around the world. All renovated and new Shearton-branded hotels follow the new Sheraton design scheme, and feature signature offerings such as the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed, Sheraton Fitness programmed by Core Performance, the Link@Sheraton and Sheraton Club Lounge.  All Sheraton hotels will follow the common design themes that are geared toward the business travelers.
