Marriott Rewards gives points for social media interaction

Marriott International’s loyalty program Marriott Rewards has launched Plus Points, which allows members to boost their points by interacting with the brand on social media.

The offering will run until November 8, and to participate a member needs to connect their social profiles to their Marriott Rewards account. Then the member can earn Marriott Rewards points by sharing or retweeting Marriott’s posts to the member’s Facebook or Twitter feeds each day, checking into properties on Facebook or Foursquare, posting a photo to Instagram and tagging it with a property’s location, using #LoveMarriottRewards, #RenHotels or #Autograph on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts or livking and following select brands and properties in Facebook or Twitter. Members can earn a maximum of 2,000 points per 30 days.

Marriott International, Bethesda, Maryland, said participating properties include 30 Marriott Hotels-branded properties and 15 Renaissance Hotels-branded properties, while The Autograph Collection is also participating as a brand.
