Karisma, Margaritaville launch new brand

Karisma Hotels & Resorts and Margaritaville are launching a resort collection called St. Somewhere, the second concept the brands have developed in partnership following the inception of the all-inclusive Island Reserve brand, which debuted in Cancun in 2020.

Set to debut in fall 2021 in Isla Holbox, a small island north of the Yucatan Peninsula between the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico, think Margaritaville with a boutique luxury twist when trying to define St. Somewhere. Each hotel in the collection will be uniquely rooted in its destination, which will inform everything from architectural design to suite layout.

Karisma and Margaritaville joined ownership and development group, Desarrollos Hacienda Puerta Azul, is creating the concept located on Punta Coco Beach off the Mexican island off Quintana Roo. Additional locations for the brand expect to be announced, but no further specifics are available.

Miami, Florida-based Karisma Hotels & Resorts owns and manages a portfolio of properties in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe. Orlando, Florida-based Margaritaville features more than 20 lodging locations and over 20 additional projects in the pipeline, with nearly half under construction. It also has two gaming properties and over 60 food and beverage venues.
