Bio for Max Starkov
Max Starkov is a hospitality technology consultant and strategist, and an adjunct professor of hospitality technology at New York University’s Tisch Center of Hospitality.
He founded and served as CEO of three Internet travel tech startups: Travelbreak.com, 1995-99 (online travel marketplace), WhaleMedia Technologies, 1999-2001 (winner of Microsoft’s Global RAD Award for hotel CRS technology), and NextGuest (formerly HEBS Digital) since 2001, a global hotel digital technology, consulting and marketing firm. NextGuest is headquartered in New York City with offices in Europe and Asia Pacific. He received the prestigious industry award, the HSMAI “Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing” and served on the HSMAI Digital Marketing Council.
Max is a published author of hundreds of articles, research papers, white papers and best practices guides on digital technology and strategy. Max has an MS in tourism and hospitality, Sofia University, and an MBA, Beta Gamma Sigma Honors, from Fordham University in New York.
