Marriott International announced Wednesday it is bringing back breakfast at four brands and, yes, it is still free.
A select number of Residence Inn by Marriott, SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Fairfield by Marriott and TownePlace Suites by Marriott in October will start offering a revised free breakfast that will include items like warm breakfast sandwiches; spinach and cheese crustless quiche; sausage, egg and cheese on a whole-wheat bagel; or a jalapeno cheddar baked soufflé. Additionally, fresh fruit and gluten-free options will be available. A wider rolled out across nearly 3,000 hotels will take place throughout the winter.
Also on the menu will be customizable breakfast bowls that could include a yogurt, oatmeal or cereal base topped with granola, pumpkin seeds, coconut flakes and more. Hot sandwich toppings will include relish and salsa, Sriracha and Cholula.
Marriott said key ingredients will be responsibly sourced, including cage-free eggs, sustainably raised pork and 100% certified coffee.
Marriott also did some research in advance of the rollout that found 75% of guests preferred a hot breakfast buffet over continental; 67% rank availability of ‘special diet options’ as being extremely important; and a majority (72%) feel comfortable eating at a buffet again. The number one most important breakfast item: fresh coffee or tea.

September 30, 2021 at 5:11 pmYesterday, September 29, 2021 I was at the Marriott Residence Inn Treasure Island, FL. A fantastic location with a great staff; General Manger, front desk manager, front desk, maintenance , housekeepers, chefs, pool guy – all friendly and helpful.
They also have open the breakfast buffet and I had Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage, milk, coffee, orange juice and fruit it was fantastic, and then at the end the Chef gave us hot freshly made chocolate chip cookies to go. Excellent combination of location, beach view, staff and breakfast.
