Main Street Hospitality, Stockbridge, Massachusetts, has made two appointments for their leadership team. Joe Gallo has taken on the role of president and Terry Coughlin is the new hospitality leadership coach.
Gallo previously served as managing director in the Global Investment Bank at Citigroup in New York, Milan, and Boston, as well as other CFO and executive roles, working with lodging companies such as Marriott, Hilton, Starwood, Wyndham, Doubletree and Meristar. Coughlin served as managing partner and director of operations at Danny’s Union Square Hospitality Group, New York, and he owns and operates Granville House, a five-guest room Bed & Breakfast in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
In partnership with the executive team and the performance, sales and operations functions, Joe Gallo and Terry Coughlin will work to amplify the identity of Main Street Hospitality’s individual properties, and further the company’s mission to deliver unparalleled experiences through an authentic approach to hospitality that centers around the communities in which the hotels exist.

Aimbridge Hospitality, Plano, Texas, has welcomed Mark Chloupek as chief legal officer. Chloupek was most recently executive vice president, secretary and general counsel of CorePoint Lodging, Irving, Texas.
Niro Investment Group, Romania, has named Anca Simionescu general manager, to coordinate and develop the group’s investment projects both locally and internationally. Simionescu previously served as country manager at Lion’s Head Investments.
The Star, Sydney, Australia, has appointed Scott Wharton as chief executive officer of The Star Sydney and group head of transformation. Wharton joins from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia where he was a member of the executive leadership team as group executive, program delivery.
Opening August 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee, Hotel Fraye has welcomed Enjoli Bahl as director of sales and marketing. Her previous positions include director of sales and marketing at Moxy Nashville Vanderbilt Hotel, Tennessee, area sales manager for Embassy Suites Murfreesboro, and Embassy Suites Cool Springs, Tennessee, and group sales manager at Hilton Miami Downtown, Florida.
Timbers Company, Winter Park, Florida, has hired John Starr as chief financial officer. John previously served as chief operating officer of CNL Financial Group, specifically in REIT fund management.
General Managers, Managing Directors
Margaritaville Beach House Key West, Miami, Florida, named Thomas Anderson as general manager. Most recently, Anderson was with Aimbridge Hospitality, Fort Myers, Florida, and worked on a project in Palm Beach, Florida, as head of marketing and asset management for the Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences.
Le Méridien and AC Hotel Denver Downtown, Colorado, chose David Cirincione as their new general manager. His previous role was general manager for The Gates Hotel South Beach, Miami Beach, Florida.
InterContinental New York Barclay has welcomed Matthias Kaiser as the hotel manager. Kaiser previously served as executive assistant manager at InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown, California.
Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Florida, has appointed Emily Kresser as director of national accounts. Kresser was most recently director of national accounts at InterContinental Miami.
B Ocean Resort, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has welcomed JP Leblanc as director of finance. Leblanc previously served as the director of finance for Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach.
Hyatt Centric Faneuil Hall Boston, Massachusetts, has appointed Kevin Matheson as general manager. Previously, Matheson served as area general manager for Colwen Hotels, New Hampshire.
Soneva has announced three new leadership appointments at its Maldives properties. Pjey Mayandi is appointed guardian of the experience (general manager) at Soneva Fushi in the Baa Atoll, with Manjit Kumar Ghosh named resort manager. Eddie Teh joins the team at the Noonu Atoll’s Soneva Jani as guardian of the experience. Mayandi first joined Soneva Fushi as resort manager in 2021. Gosh rejoins the Soneva family following a leadership role at Six Senses Con Dao in Vietnam. Teh makes the move to Soneva Jani from Soneva Fushi, where he was guardian of the experience from May 2021.
Sean McCarron has been appointed general manager of the Conrad Orlando, Florida, expected to open in summer 2023. Previously, Sean served as general manager of Waldorf Astoria Orlando.
Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, Missouri, has appointed Iyad Mourad hotel manager. He was previously director of rooms at Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, and Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina, Hawaii.
TPG/Marshall Hotels & Resorts, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has named Douglas Osborne general manager of 1715 on Rittenhouse, a Boutique Hotel. Most recently, Osborne was clubhouse manager of the Germantown Cricket Club, also in Philadelphia.
Hotel Fraye, Nashville, Tennessee, has appointed Richard Rose as general manager and Jose Rodriguez as assistant general manager. Most recently, Rose was the vice president of business development for Concord Hospitality, Raleigh, North Carolina, whereas Rodriguez served as executive chef throughout Mexico’s and Panama’s luxury hotels, including Hyatt Regency Cancun, Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun, both in Mexico, and JW Marriott Panama Golf & Beach Resort, Panama.
Chris Raines has been named general manager of AC Hotel Bethesda, Spartanburg, South Carolina. His previous experience was as general manager at an IHG property in Arlington, Virginia.
The St. Regis Toronto, Canada, has appointed Hiren Prabhakar as general manager. Most recently, Prabhakar opened the Toronto Marriott Markham, Ontario, Canada.
Operations
Pullman & Novotel New Delhi Aerocity, India, has selected Sumit Kumar as the front office manager. Prior to taking up this role, Kumar held the position of front office manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru, India.
Food & Beverage
The InterContinental Mark Hopkins, San Francisco, California, has selected Phil Amidon as the hotel’s new director of food and beverage. Phil was previously assistant director of food and beverage at the InterContinental Boston, Massachusetts.
Jim Barnett is director of food and beverage at AC Hotel Bethesda, Spartanburg, South Carolina, with responsibility for Corella Café & Lounge, the hotel’s signature restaurant concept. Barnett began his Marriott career immediately upon graduating from the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts, and he has remained with the brand for 21 years.
Blossom Hotel Houston, Texas, has chosen Chef Ho Chee Boon to lead its culinary programming property-wide. Chef Ho Chee Boon is a Michelin-starred chef who recently opened his first restaurant concept, Empress by Boon, in San Francisco’s Chinatown.
The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has appointed Paula DaSilva to director of culinary and beverage of the property. A member of the The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale team since 2017, she previously served as chef de cuisine of its restaurant Burlock Coast Seafare & Spirits.
Sereno Hotels has named Matteo Gaeta as their new director of food and beverage. His most recent role was at the Rosewood Hotel in Hong Kong as the operations manager.
B Ocean Resort, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has appointed Noha Ghali as director of catering and convention services. Ghali was previously the director of catering and conference services at Amrit Ocean Resort and Residences on Palm Beach’s Singer Island, also in Florida.
Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, Missouri, has appointed Julieta Mechkarska as food and beverage director. Most recently, Mechkarska was director of restaurants at The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
JW Marriott Nashville, Tennessee, has hired Chris Mitchum as director of food and beverage. Past experiences include tenures as executive chef with Hyatt Regency, Indian Ridge Country Club and director of food and beverage with Viceroy, Snowmass, Colorado.
Prince Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, has appointed Deon Togami as its new beverage manager. Togami joins Prince Waikiki after two years working as bartender at M by Jeremy Shigekane, also in Hawaii.
The Westin Tempe, Arizona, has appointed Chef Mario Ventura as the executive chef of the hotel’s signature restaurant, Terra Tempe Kitchen + Spirits. Most recently he served as the executive sous chef when the hotel opened.
Sales & Marketing
Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, Lahaina, Hawaii, has named Jason Baer director of sales and marketing. Prior to joining the resort, Jason worked with various Hyatt properties throughout the West Coast in sales leadership positions.
Maria Bardos has been appointed as director of sales at AC Hotel Bethesda, Spartanburg, South Carolina. She has served in leadership roles at Hilton and Hyatt-branded properties as well as Hyatt Hotels Corp.
The Beekman, A Thompson Hotel, New York, has promoted Sean Cordasco to director of sales and marketing. Cordasco was previously serving as associate director of sales.
Sahara Las Vegas, Nevada, announced Amber Jung as its new vice president of marketing. Jung has held several marketing positions in Las Vegas, including Las Vegas regional vice president of marketing at Caesars Entertainment, director of casino marketing at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa and director of brand marketing at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
The Statler, Dallas, Texas, has hired a new director of sales, Jillian Lehmann, who has more than 15 years of hospitality sales and leadership experience, most recently as regional director of sales and marketing at Crescent Hotels and Resorts, also in Dallas.
The Peninsula Istanbul, Turkey, has chosen Özlem Öktem as director of sales and marketing. Previously, Öktem was executive assistant manager in charge of sales and marketing and rooms at the Shangri-La Bosphorus, also in Istanbul.
Michael Orlando has joined B Ocean Resort, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as director of sales and commercial services. Most recently, Orlando was the director of sales and events for the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs Hotel & Convention Center.
JW Marriott Nashville, Tennessee, has hired Gary Barr as director of revenue and Jennifer Horstman as director of people and culture. Barr’s previous experience was as senior manager – revenue management at W Atlanta – Midtown and JW Marriott Atlanta Buckhead, Georgia. Horstman joins after her tenure as director of human resources at Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Georgia.
Jill Yurko has been named director of sales and marketing at the Conrad Orlando, Florida. Most recently, Jill was the assistant director of sales at Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando.
Spa and Wellness
Nguyen Thi Thanh Hang has been named spa manager at Alma Resort’s Le Spa, Cam Ranh, Vietnam. From 2019 to 2021 she was the spa director overseeing the Akoya Spas at 14 Vinpearl properties across Vietnam.
The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Avon, Vail Valley, Colorado, has selected Jennifer Razee as assistant director of club and spa. Razee most recently served as the director of Dryland Fitness & Spa at Gravity Haus Vail, Colorado.
Sanderling Resort, in North Carolina’s Outer Banks, has named Katharine Craig as director of spa and retail. Craig joined Mountaintop Golf and Lake Club in the mountains of Western North Carolina, where she worked her way up to spa manager.
Other
Grand Hotel has announced their new director of golf, Grant DeMoss, who will oversee their course, The Jewel. Most recently, Demoss worked as a golf professional at Bent Brook Golf Course and as director of golf at Heatherwood Golf & Country Club, both in Birmingham, Alabama.
