People on the move: Radisson, Aman, Valor

Radisson Hotel Group Americas, Minneapolis, Minnesota, announced the appointment of Tom Buoy as executive vice president & chief commercial officer, and Michael Fischer, chief human resources officer. Both will join Radisson Hotel Group Americas’ executive committee. Buoy will be responsible for bringing a visionary and thoughtful approach to shaping the commercial strategies, along with building and executing plans to support the success of the company. Fischer will lead all aspects of human resources to grow Radisson Hotel Group Americas’ inclusive culture, talent development, employee engagement, and sustainability efforts.

Most recently, Buoy served as president and chief executive officer of his own consulting business. Prior to joining Radisson, Fischer served as chief human resources officer for White Lodging, an Indiana-based hotel ownership, development, and management company.

Radisson Hotel Group Americas, Minnesota, announced that Paul Adan has been appointed managing director of Latin America and the Caribbean. Adan joins Radisson from Marriott International where he most recently served as a regional vice president of development for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Singapore-based hospitality company Aman announced the appointment of Fadia Bassi as regional director of residences sales, North America. Bassi joins the company from ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, Miami, Florida, where she was regional sales director.

Mridul Bhatt has been appointed executive chef at Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Vancouver, Canada. Bhatt’s most recent role was the executive chef at Fairmont Hotel Macdonald, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The Vanderbilt, Auberge Resorts Collection, Newport, Rhode Island, announced Jordi Vall?s Blistin as general manager. Most recently, Blistin was resort manager for Chileno Bay Resort, Auberge Resorts Collection in Mexico.

Lore Group, Washington, D.C., announced that Rebecca Carey has been appointed as regional director of food and beverage for the group’s Washington D.C. properties. Prior to joining Lore, Carey served as the food and beverage director for California-based Viceroy Hotels.

Dimension Development Company, Natchitoches, Louisiana, has appointed Matthew Chiz as catering sales manager, and Michelle Relecker as group sales manager at Hyatt Regency Westlake, California. Chiz most recently held a sales role with Grill Concepts, Los Angeles, California. Relecker was most recently group sales manager at the Warner Center Marriott Woodland Hills in California.

Crestline Hotels & Resorts, Airfax, Virginia, announced that it has been selected to manage the newly built 110-guest suite Residence Inn by Marriott Steamboat Springs in Colorado. 

Atlanta, Georgia-based Valor Hospitality has expanded its central leadership team, with Ed Cross’s promotion to operations director. Cross most recently served as the general manager at Valor’s DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester, England.

CHMWarnick, Boston, Massachusetts, announced the promotions of executive team members Kristie Dickinson, Derek Olsen and Larry Trabulsi to managing director and partner of the firm. Dickinson is a founding member of the CHMWarnick team. She has advised clients on more than 200 hotels across all product tiers. Olsen brings expertise in development planning and operational ramp-up of new hotels, having opened two properties within the last 24 months. Trabulsi has 27 years of hospitality industry experience in operations, consulting and more than half his career dedicated to creating value for hotel owners through asset management.

Honolulu, Hawaii- and Los Angeles, California-based hospitality management company Springboard Hospitality announced the appointment of Elsie Florio as head of curated marketing. Before joining Springboard Hospitality, Florio worked as a project manager and creative tactician in direct sales, direct marketing, eCommerce, brand management, hospitality design, social media, communications, and email marketing at her own firm Inntegrated Consulting, Fairfax, California.

Radisson Blu Mall of America, Bloomington, Minnesota, announced the appointment of Alex Francis as general manager. Most recently, Francis oversaw another Radisson Blu property, Radisson Blu Minneapolis Downtown, Minnesota.

PM Hotel Group, Chevy Chase, Maryland, announced the promotion of Jennifer Diamond Haber to senior vice president, brand and communications. Diamond Haber was previously vice president/managing director at French PR company MSLGROUP.

Hotel Revival,?a JdV by Hyatt hotel located in Baltimore, Marlyand, announced that Alexis Hernandez has joined the team as its new executive chef. Hernandez previously served as the executive sous chef for Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington, D.C.’s Dirty Habit. 

Cora Kempton Maldives announced the appointment of their new director of spa and wellness for Moksha Spa and Wellbeing Centre, Chanapach Khumkhur. Most recently, Khumkhur was at the helm of the spa at Crossroads Maldives. 

Hyatt Place New York Chelsea, New York, announced that Gary Maida has been appointed as the hotel’s new area director of operations. Prior to joining Hyatt Place New York Chelsea, Maida was the general manager of Hyatt Place New York Times Square.

Hotel Valley Ho, Scottsdale, Arizona, announced the appointment of new talent to the culinary team with pastry chef Deavynne Millward. Millward previously took the helm at Tonto Bar & Grill in Cave Creek, Arizona, as pastry chef.

Nobu Hotel Miami Beach, Florida, welcomed a new general manager, Rhys O’Connell. O’Connell most recently served as general manager of the Hotel Zephyr in San Francisco, California.

Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club, Dana Point, California, announced the appointment of new leadership to its culinary team – director of food and beverage Christopher Pageaud, executive pastry chef Jean-Francois Lehuede and AVEO chef de cuisine Diego Bernal. Pageaud most recently served as the director of food and beverage at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas, Nevada. Lehuede was previously head pastry chef at The Resort at Pelican Hill, Newport Coast, California. Bernal most recently served as the executive chef at the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, Riverside, California.

The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, Hawaii, has welcomed Ben Shank as the resort’s new general manager. Shank most recently served as general manager at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Hotel Windrow, Ellensburg, Washington, announced the appointment of Matt Skaletsky as general manager. Skaletsky Most recently held the title of general manager at The FINCH boutique hotel in Walla Walla, Washington.

Cuvée, a travel company based in Denver, Colorado, welcomed Michael Snyder as director of sales, global partnerships. He was formerly the director of worldwide sales at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto, Canada.
