People on the move: Rosewood Hotel Group, Loews Hotels, Kerten Hospitality

Rosewood Hotel Group, Hong Kong, has appointed Victor Clavell as senior vice president of operations, EMEAC. In this newly created role, Victor will be responsible for driving operational success, executing profitability strategies, and developing talent for the group’s properties across the EMEAC region, encompassing Europe, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. His appointment comes at an important moment for Rosewood Hotel Group, as the brand is preparing for the opening of Rosewood Vienna and adding other high-profile projects to the property pipeline.

Clavell has demonstrated a strong track record of building and sustaining cohesive, top-performing teams and brings with him 30 years of experience within the field of luxury hospitality. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer at AMAALA, the ultra-luxury development project owned by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia. He was previously with Marriott International for 28 years, beginning in managerial roles for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. and working his way up to vice president of the brand’s luxury portfolio in Asia Pacific.

Radisson Blu Mall of America, Bloomington, Minnesota, promoted Kate Anastasi to director of sales and marketing. She most recently served as the assistant director of sales.

Viewline Resort Snowmass, Colorado, selected Danielle Caswell as group sales manager. Caswell was previously the senior group sales manager at the Otis Hotel, Autograph Collection in Austin, Texas.

CoralTree Hospitality, Denver, Colorado, announced that Marie-Emile Dagot has been hired as director of quality and guest experiences. Prior, Dagot was vice president of exceptional client experiences at Aspire, Phoenix, Arizona.

Andres Davila has been appointed complex executive chef at Aruba Marriott Complex, Palm Beach, Aruba. Davila was previously executive sous chef for the Marriott Beach Resort in Grand Cayman, and executive chef for JW Marriott Panama.

Windsor Court Hotel, New Orleans, has promoted Genevieve Dumont to assistant director of sales and marketing. Dumont previously served as senior sales manager.

Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium has appointed Michiel de Kleer as general manager. De Kleer previously served as general manager at Hotel Indigo Bangkok, Thailand.

Hilton has chosen Florian Kunkel as the new general manager of the Hilton Boston Logan Airport. Kunkel was previously at the Hilton Houston Post Oak by the Galleria, Houston, Texas, where he served as general manager since 2019.

Marco Filice has been named general manager for the new Astra Hotel Seattle, Washington, after serving as general manager of the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova, California, and director of rooms and revenue at the Hilton Santa Clara, California, and Hilton Waikiki Beach, Hawaii. The Astra Hotel Seattle has also named Alleah Pac director of sales and marketing. Most recently, Pac held this same position at the Hotel Interurban in Tukwila, Washington.

Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis, Tennessee, has appointed Scott Gross as the new director of operations. Gross previously served as the operations manager of Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort & Spa in Hawaii.

Hilton Orlando, Florida, has appointed Richard Hess as hotel manager. Hess most recently held roles as director of front office operations and director of rooms at the Waldorf Astoria Boca Raton Resort & Club and Waldorf Astoria Boca Beach Club, respectively.

Atrium Hospitality, Milton, Georgia, has promoted Rob Mangiarelli to president and chief operating officer (COO). He joined Atrium Hospitality earlier this year as executive vice president and COO.

Kerten Hospitality, Dublin, Ireland, has chosen Tara Marlow as group general counsel based in the group’s UAE office. Marlow joins Kerten after many years as a partner and regional head of real estate and hotels and leisure with Al Tamimi & Co., Jordan.

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and The Venetian Expo, Nevada, announced that Patrick Nichols will join as president and chief executive officer. Most recently, Nichols served as the general manager and chief strategy officer at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, China, appointed Christian Poda as regional vice president and general manager. Prior to his latest appointment in Hong Kong, he was general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Beijing, China.

Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok, Thailand, has chosen Adrian Rudin as its new general manager, with regional responsibilities as vice president operations, Southeast Asia for Kempinski Hotels. Rudin joins the Bangkok hotel from Beijing, where he served as vice president Asia for the Kempinski group.

The Imperial New Delhi, India, has selected Louis Sailer as senior executive vice president. His most recent experience was as founder and managing director of Nullus Ineptias.

Loews Hotels, New York City, has named Jessica Schoefernacker as director of sales and marketing at the Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel, while John Wright will take on the role of director of sales and marketing at the Loews Minneapolis Hotel, Minnesota. Schoefernacker previously served as director of sales and marketing at the Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile, Illinois, whereas Wright was director of sales and marketing at Curio Collection by Hilton Minneapolis.

IHG Hotels & Resorts, Atlanta, Georgia, has appointed Mark Sergot as senior vice president, global sales. Sergot joined IHG in 2020 as vice president, global sales operations and enablement.

CHMWarnick, Scottsdale, Arizona, announced that Maxine Taylor and Joe DeFrank have been promoted to executive vice president roles, and Jenna Aragosa has joined as vice president. Previously, Taylorn was executive vice president at Chartres Lodging Group, San Francisco, California, and vice president, asset management at Capital Hotel Management, Beverly, Massachusetts, while DeFrank was a senior vice president of asset management for Host Hotels & Resorts, Bethesda, Maryland. Prior to joining CHMWarnick, Aragosa was with CBRE’s Advisory Northeast Division.

George Toma has joined the Kimpton Schofield Hotel, Cleveland, Ohio, as director of sales and marketing. Most recently, Toma was director of group sales at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cleveland.
