People on the move: Virgin, Hyatt, Hilton

Virgin Hotels, Miami, Florida, appointed Todd Orlich as the new vice president of operations – North American. Orlich has more than 25 years of experience and will be responsible for the operational performance of Virgin Hotels in Chicago, Dallas, Nashville and New Orleans, as well as forthcoming properties in New York City and Miami. In his new role, he will work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and execute the strategic plan to drive growth and profitability.

Most recently, Orlich was managing director of 1 Hotel Toronto, Canada.

Nemacolin, Farmington, Pennsylvania, has selected Muhannad Al Ateem for the role of executive chef of Lautrec, the property’s restaurant. Most recently, Al Ateem served as the executive chef at The Club at Ruby Hill in San Francisco, California.

The Donohoe Companies, Washington, D.C., announce that Yvonne Baker has joined the company as vice president of asset management. Yvonne was previously an investment associate at KBS Realty Advisors, Newport Beach, California.

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa, Bastrop, Texas, announced Steven Carl as its new director of food and beverage. Carl joins from City of Dreams Manila Resort in Paranaque, Philippines.

Driftwood Capital, Miami, Florida, has appointed John Davis as managing director, asset management. Most recently, he served as vice president of asset management for Stonebridge Companies, Denver, Colorado.

Club Quarters Hotels, Stamford, Connecticut, announced the hiring of a new global sales and marketing leadership team with five new appointments. Suzette Deveau is vice president of membership and sales; Bridget Tran is corporate vice president of marketing; Jaclyn Riley is director of marketing and communications; Kristin Collett is director of digital marketing; and Angela Molnar is area director of revenue management. Deveau most recently served as vice president sales and marketing for the Americas. Tran was previously marketing director for Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces, Mumbai, India.

La Cantera Resort & Spa, San Antonio, Texas, appointed Camila Frederico as general manager. Previously, Frederico worked at CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, Arizona.

Hilton Cancun, Mexico, has announced the appointment of four new executives to join the opening team. Salvador Gutierrez as hotel manager, Alex Chávez Mah Eng as entertainment manager, George Stanfield as complex managing director and Michel Auriemma as complex culinary director. Gutierrez’s most recent position was hotel manager at Hotel Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa Resort in ​Costa Mujeres in Mexico. Chávez Mah Eng previously worked in entertainment management at Grand Sunset & Riviera Princess Hotel in Mexico. Stanfield was previously general manager at Hilton Buenos Aires in Argentina. Auriemma previously was executive chef at Puerto Isla Mujeres in Mexico.

Anurag Kishore has been promoted to the position of general manager at Holiday Inn hotel, Parramatta, Sydney, Australia. Kishore was previously executive assistant manager at Inn Parramatta in Sydney.

Montage Laguna Beach, Laguna Beach, California, announce the appointment of Christian Maeder as hotel manager. Maeder joins from The Maybourne Beverly Hills, Beverley Hills, California, where he was director of food and beverage.

Ania Mankowska-Allard has been appointed spa director of Sense, A Rosewood Spa at Rosewood Sand Hill, Silicon Valley, California. Most recently, Mankowska-Allard was spa director of Nob Hill Spa at The Huntington Hotel, San Francisco, California.

Fanny Martin has been appointed spa director of Sense, A Rosewood Spa at Rosewood Le Guanahani, St. Barth. Most recently, Martin served as the spa manager at Royal Mansour and Selman Marrakech, Marrakech, Morocco.

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, California, announce the appointment of Laurie Munos as director of sales and marketing. Munos’s most recent role was area sales leader for The San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront, California.

Meyer Jabara Hotels, Danbury, Connecticut, has appointed Guy Reinbold as corporate director of food and beverage. Previously, Reinbold spent 22 years with Marriott International as vice president of food and beverage and corporate executive chef.

The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, California, announced the appointment of Matthew Ross as director of food and beverage. Previously, Ross was director of food and beverage operations at Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, San Francisco, California.

Wellengood Partners, Nashville, Tennessee, has appointed Danielle Stokes as vice president of hospitality development. Stokes has previously served as chief administrative officer at Safe Harbor Development, Knoxville, Tennessee.

Hyatt Regency Boston, Massachusetts, announced the appointment of Chryssaldo Thomas as general manager. He joins from Ohana Waikiki East & Waikiki Malia by Outrigger, Oahu, Hawaii, where he was area general manager.
