Anantara recently opened its first resort in Oman, the Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort. Perched 2,000 meters (6561.68 feet) above sea level on the Sultanate’s Green Mountain, the five-star property was designed by Lotfi Sidirahal from Atelier PoD Architecture using local building materials, including stone from the mountain.
The elegant architecture aims to reflects the mountainous surrounding and Oman’s artistic culture. Accomodations range from deluxe guestrooms up to villas featuring temperature-controlled pools. On-site dining options include Arabic, Italian, Asian and other international cuisine.
The Ananatara Spa includes a private hammam suite with heated marble, five spa rooms with two couple sites, a hair and beauty salon and several siganture treatments.
