Hot Openings: Holiday Inn soars in New York

Manhattan might just be one of the world’s most notable cityscapes when it comes to skyscrapers. Going big or going home is practically a mantra there. So, it’s surprising that the world’s tallest Holiday Inn calls New York home. Standing over 450 feet tall, the Holiday Inn Manhattan-Financial District marks the flag’s 22nd Big Apple hotel.

The understated décor takes a backseat to the views. Rich neutral tones, orange accents and natural textures set the mood for an elegant city vibe. Glass accents lend a hint of New York edginess.

“The opening of the Holiday Inn Manhattan-Financial District, the tallest Holiday Inn hotel in the world, is another milestone for our iconic brand, and we are excited about the role this property is playing in the revitalization of Manhattan’s historic Financial District,” said Heather Balsley, senior vice president, Americas Holiday Inn Portfolio of Brands, IHG. “This beautiful hotel embodies our commitment to provide our guests what they value most when they are travelling: the contemporary design, modern amenities, and warm, welcoming service that distinguishes the Holiday Inn brand.”
